GHK-Cu, also known as copper tripeptide-1, is a research peptide formed when the naturally occurring peptide GHK binds with copper.

Researchers are particularly interested in GHK-Cu for its potential role in skin repair, collagen and elastin production, wound healing and tissue renewal. Laboratory and animal studies have also explored its connection with skin ageing, inflammation and hair-follicle biology (Maquart et al., 1993; Pickart, 2008; Pickart et al., 2015).

Although the findings are promising, much of the evidence comes from laboratory, animal or topical skincare research. These potential effects should not be treated as proven skin, hair or healing benefits in people.
